RESULTS OF THE FINAL ROUND
ALL-UNION OLYMPIAD FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN
Math winners
From April 24 to April 30, the final round of the All-Union Mathematical Olympiad was held in Simferopol, in which 660 winners of regional and resource Olympiads took part.
The winners among eighth-graders were: Yuri Kolmakov from the city of Rasskazov, Tambov region, Andrey Kogan - a student at school No. 55 in Penza, Sergei Kuksin - a student at school No. 22 in Kharkov; among the ninth-graders: Alexey Alexandrov - a student at the physics and mathematics boarding school at Leningrad State University, Dmitry Logachev - a student at schools No. 2 in Moscow; among the tenth graders: Andrey Klimov and Andrey Khodulev - students of the physics and mathematics boarding school at Moscow State University.
31 participants of the Olympiad were awarded the second prize, 37 - the third, another 140 were awarded diplomas.
Physics winners
From April 9 to April 15, the final round of the All-Union Phys.
skoy Olympics. 652 winners of regional and resources Olympiads took part in it.
The competition took place in two stages. On April 10 there was a theoretical round, and on April 13 there was an experimental round.
The first places were taken by: eighth-graders Valery Marinich, a student at schools No. 1 in Dolinsk, Sakhalin Region, and Sergei Akhulkov, a student at schools No. 7 in Smolensk; ninth graders Igor Artyukhov - a student at the physics and mathematics boarding school at Moscow State University, Dmitry Kazakovtsev - a student at school No. 145 in Kyiv, Vladimir Nazaikinsky and Vladimir Fleishaker - both from schools No. 2 in Moscow; ninth-graders Sergei Gorbachevsky and Alexey Lomakin are students of the physics and mathematics boarding school at Leningrad State University.
16 Olympiad participants took second place, 40 took third place, 82 were awarded certificates.
The magazine «Kvant» congratulates all the winners of the Olympiad and wishes them further success.
