LOGICAL
CUBES
The game “logical cubes” was released in France. The game set consists of 48 tiles (“cubes”). In their manufacture, three colors were used (red, blue and green), two sizes (large and small dies of the same shape and color), two thicknesses (thick and thin) and four shapes (circle, square, rectangle and triangle). By combining these four features, you can make just 3×2×2×4=48 dies.
With this set you can come up with many games for any age, starting from kindergarten. All games have one thing in common: they teach the ability to alienate, that is, logic, introduce mice to the basic concepts of set theory without confusing them with complicated explanations, and allow them to master basic operations on sets in practice.
Games for the little ones
The simplest one. Place the cubes on the table in some order, let the child remember it and, after he answers, rearrange something. Let him agree on what has changed.
The other is simple. The condition is the same, you just need to agree on which cube is hidden or how many are hidden.
Third. You need to arrange the cubes in an invented order (for example, arrange them by color).
Fourth. Ask the mouse to list how two cubes are different from each other and how they are similar.
Exchange. Two people hold a cube in both hands and exchange those in their right hand. The one with the most similarities in the dice wins; he takes all four dice for himself. All 12 four dice are played this way.
In these games, the concept of an object’s attribute is developed: the child learns that cubes differ in no more than four properties: either color, or size, or thickness, or shape.
Games for average
Dominoes “one difference”. Like in dominoes, players make a chain of cups with one condition: each next cube differs from the previous one by one (exactly one) feature.
